On February 14, the General Administration of Customs announced the import and export data in January 2022, the data showed that in January 2022, China's exports of steel were 6.188 million tons, an increase of 632,000 tons from the previous month, an increase of 11.3% from the previous month, an increase of 33.3%. Imported steel was 1.179 million tons, an increase of 173,000 tons from the previous month, down 1.0% year-on-year. Steel exports rebounded for two consecutive months, and steel exports increased significantly in January, hitting a new high since July 2021.
